San Miguel de Allende has a way of turning a “quick trip” into a monthlong stay. The pace feels lighter. Mornings start with a walk to a café. Afternoons invite a gallery stop, a long lunch, then a slow loop back home through cobblestone streets. For travelers who want more than a weekend snapshot, a local rental can make the city feel less like a destination and more like a routine you actually enjoy.

To start your search with a local focus, DreamProHomesLuxury offers neighborhood context that helps match a home to the lifestyle you want, including options like https://dreamprohomesluxury.com/san-miguel-de-allende/neighborhood/paseo-real/. Pick the right base, and the rest gets easy. Groceries sit nearby. Walking routes feel natural. And your “must-do” list stops running the show.

Choose a Neighborhood That Fits Your Daily Rhythm

Choose a Neighborhood That Fits Your Daily Rhythm

Long stays work best when the neighborhood matches how you spend normal days. If you plan to walk everywhere, choose an area with quick access to markets, pharmacies, and cafés you will actually use. If you crave quiet evenings and open skies, look for a setting with a calmer street scene and fewer late-night hotspots. The right choice reduces friction. It also makes the city feel friendly faster.

Pay attention to slope and street texture. San Miguel’s charm comes with hills and uneven stones. A steep route can feel romantic for two days, then feel like a workout by week two. A flatter pocket can change everything if you run errands on foot. Also note street noise. A home can look peaceful in photos, then sit near a busy intersection or a popular restaurant. Ask about sound at night and early morning, not just during midday.

Think in terms of “micro access.” How far from your door to coffee, water, and basics. How long it takes to reach a gym, a co-working space, or a park. And how easy it feels to get a taxi when you need one. When those details line up, the stay feels simple. When they do not, even a beautiful home can feel inconvenient.

Know the Rental Types in San Miguel and What They Include

San Miguel rentals span a wide range. Some homes cater to travelers and come fully set up, from kitchenware to linens. Others target longer stays and prioritize space, storage, and practical layouts. You will also see casitas, which can offer privacy with a smaller footprint, plus larger homes built around courtyards that bring in light and airflow. Each style can work. The key is matching the home’s setup to how you plan to live.

Clarify what “furnished” means before you commit. Ask if the kitchen includes basics you will use, like pots, sharp knives, a blender, and enough glassware for guests. Check the bed setup too. Comfort matters more after day ten. Confirm the mattress quality, pillow options, and blackout curtains. These details shape sleep, and sleep shapes the whole trip.

Utilities and services can vary. Some rentals include internet, water delivery, housekeeping, or garden care. Others require the tenant to manage more. None of this should feel mysterious. Ask for a simple list of what the rent covers, what you pay separately, and how payments work. Clarity at the start prevents awkward surprises later.

Read Listings Like a Local, Not Like a Tourist

Read Listings Like a Local, Not Like a Tourist

Photos can sell mood, but long stays demand function. Look past the wide-angle shots and ask direct questions. How many steps to the bedroom. How strong is the water pressure? Does the shower stay hot for more than one person? Where do you store luggage? Where do you hang the laundry? These do not sound glamorous, but they matter on day twelve.

The internet deserves special attention, especially if you work remotely or stream often. Ask for the provider name, typical speeds, and where the router sits. Confirm signal strength in the bedroom and any workspace area. A charming patio loses its shine if the Wi-Fi drops every time you open a laptop. If the host cannot answer clearly, request a speed test screenshot.

Also ask about climate comfort. San Miguel can feel warm in the afternoon and cool at night, especially during certain seasons. Many homes rely on natural ventilation, fans, and thick walls, not central HVAC. That can work beautifully, but you should know what to expect. Ask about fans, heaters, fireplace rules, and drafts near windows. Comfort creates staying power.

Set Up a Smooth Booking Process and a Clear Agreement

A longer stay needs a cleaner process than a weekend booking. Start with dates, payment schedule, deposit terms, and cancellation policy. Then move to house rules and responsibility lines. Who handles minor repairs. How quickly can someone respond if a water heater fails. Who pays for replacement items if something breaks from normal wear. Good hosts answer these questions without hesitation.

Request a simple written agreement that covers the essentials. Keep it plain. No legal drama. Just clear terms that protect both sides. Include check-in and check-out times, included services, guest policy, and any limits on pets or events. Add an inventory list if the home comes well equipped. This step reduces conflict and keeps expectations realistic.

Payment should also feel professional. Use methods that create a record. Confirm currency, due dates, and fees upfront. If someone pushes for vague terms or refuses to put basics in writing, treat that as a warning sign. You can still find a great home without taking that risk.

Live Well During a Long Stay: Practical Routines That Make It Easy

Live Well During a Long Stay: Practical Routines That Make It Easy

The first week sets the tone. Handle basics early and the rest feels like vacation without the chaos. Find a grocery route you like. Identify a pharmacy nearby. Locate a good place for fresh fruit, bread, and bottled water. Then set up your “home rhythm,” including laundry, trash schedule, and a plan for packages or deliveries.

Transportation can stay simple. Many long-stay travelers walk most days and use taxis for hills, rain, or late evenings. Ask your host for a reliable taxi contact or local service. Keep small cash on hand for quick rides and tips. If you plan day trips, talk to a reputable driver or tour operator and confirm pricing before you commit.

Build a social loop without forcing it. Attend a cooking class, try a language exchange, join a small art workshop, or pick one recurring market day. Repetition turns strangers into familiar faces. That’s the secret sauce of a longer stay. You stop “doing San Miguel” and start living there.

Avoid Common Rental Mistakes and Protect Your Time

Most long-stay issues come from mismatched expectations, not bad intentions. People book a stunning place that fits photos, then discover it lacks storage, has weak internet, or sits in a noisy pocket. Fix that by asking better questions before you arrive. Also confirm what happens if something goes wrong. A fast response plan matters more than a perfect couch.

Do a quick walkthrough on day one. Test the hot water. Check locks and window latches. Confirm the stove works and the fridge cools properly. Locate the breaker box and any water shutoff. This sounds technical, but it takes ten minutes and can save hours later. Send a short message to the host if you spot anything. Keep it friendly and factual.

Finally, leave breathing room in your schedule. Many travelers plan too much during a long stay, then feel tired by week two. San Miguel rewards slower days. Protect time for simple pleasures, like a long breakfast, a bookstore stop, or a sunset view from a terrace. Those moments turn a rental into a real home base, and they make the city hard to leave.

Traveling is a wonderful way to explore new places, cultures, and experiences. However, the excitement of a new destination can be dampened if your feet are uncomfortable. Choosing the right travel shoes is crucial to ensure your adventures are enjoyable and pain-free. Whether you’re planning a city tour, a nature hike, or a beach getaway, the right shoes can make all the difference. To help you find the perfect pair, we’ve put together a guide on what to look for when picking travel shoes. For some excellent options, check out this link – thecloudslides.com/products/orthopedic-sandal-cloud-slides.

Comfort is Key

When it comes to travel shoes, comfort should be your top priority. Uncomfortable shoes can ruin your trip by causing blisters, sore feet, and general discomfort. Here’s what to consider:

Cushioning and Support

Look for shoes with good cushioning and arch support. This is especially important if you plan on walking long distances or standing for extended periods. Shoes with orthopedic features, like those offered by Cloud Slides, provide excellent support and cushioning, helping to prevent foot pain and fatigue.

Fit and Flexibility

Make sure the shoes fit well. They should be snug but not tight, with enough room to wiggle your toes. Additionally, flexibility is crucial. Shoes that are too stiff can cause blisters and restrict your natural walking motion. Test the shoes by bending them to ensure they are flexible enough for comfortable movement.

Consider the Terrain

The type of terrain you’ll be encountering on your trip plays a significant role in choosing the right shoes.

Urban Exploration

If you’re planning to explore city streets, look for stylish yet comfortable shoes. Walking shoes, loafers, or even supportive sandals can be great options. For example, orthopedic sandals from Cloud Slides not only offer the necessary support but also come in chic designs that are perfect for urban settings.

Nature Trails and Hikes

For nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, sturdy and supportive hiking shoes or boots are essential. These shoes should have good grip and traction to handle uneven and slippery surfaces. Waterproof options are also beneficial for unpredictable weather conditions.

Beach and Water Activities

For beach vacations, water shoes or sandals that dry quickly and provide good traction are ideal. These shoes protect your feet from sharp objects, hot sand, and slippery surfaces.

Durability and Quality

Investing in high-quality, durable shoes is always a smart choice, especially for travel. Durable shoes withstand the wear and tear of travel and last longer, making them a cost-effective option in the long run.

Material Matters

Pay attention to the materials used in the shoes. Leather, synthetic fabrics, and high-quality rubber are often more durable and provide better support than cheaper materials. Shoes made from breathable materials also help keep your feet dry and comfortable.

Construction and Craftsmanship

Examine the construction and craftsmanship of the shoes. Well-made shoes with strong stitching and quality construction are more likely to be durable and comfortable. Brands known for their orthopedic designs often pay extra attention to these details, ensuring you get the best quality.

Style and Versatility

While comfort and functionality are crucial, you don’t have to compromise on style. Finding shoes that are both stylish and versatile can enhance your travel wardrobe.

Versatile Designs

Look for shoes that can be worn with various outfits and are suitable for different activities. Neutral colors and classic designs are often more versatile and easier to match with different clothes.

Packing and Space-Saving

Consider the ease of packing your shoes. Shoes that are lightweight and compact can save valuable luggage space. Opt for versatile options that can be used for multiple purposes to minimize the number of pairs you need to pack.

Practical Tips for Buying Travel Shoes

Now that you know what to look for in travel shoes, here are some practical tips to help you make the best choice:

Try Before You Buy

Always try on shoes before purchasing them. Walk around the store to test their comfort, fit, and flexibility. If buying online, check the return policy to ensure you can exchange or return the shoes if they don’t fit well.

Break Them In

Never embark on a trip with brand-new shoes. Take the time to break them in by wearing them around your home or on short walks. This helps prevent blisters and ensures the shoes conform to your feet.

Consider Insoles and Socks

Invest in high-quality insoles and socks to enhance the comfort and support of your travel shoes. Insoles can provide additional cushioning, while good socks can prevent blisters and keep your feet dry.

Choosing the right travel shoes is essential for a comfortable and enjoyable trip. Prioritize comfort, consider the terrain, focus on durability and quality, and don’t forget about style and versatility. By following these guidelines, you can find the perfect pair of shoes that will keep your feet happy throughout your travels. Remember, a well-chosen pair of shoes can make all the difference between a memorable adventure and a painful experience.

In the quest for beauty and wellness, many people are looking beyond their local spas and clinics and considering the option of getting beauty treatments abroad. Also, it can be quite cost-saving and provides the opportunity to combine beauty treatments with travel. However, it’s essential to approach this with careful planning and consideration. Here are seven tips to help you with beauty treatments abroad.

1. Do Your Research

The first step in planning for beauty treatments abroad is to do thorough research. Medical tourism offers a host of benefits, including access to high-quality treatments, like HIFU treatment in Singapore. But before you decide, you need to carefully plan everything. This includes understanding the treatment you’re interested in, the qualifications of the practitioners, and the reputation of the clinic or spa. Look for reviews and testimonials from previous clients, and don’t hesitate to ask questions.

2. Understand the Costs

While getting beauty treatments abroad can be more affordable than in your home country, it’s important to understand all the costs involved. This includes not just the cost of the treatment itself but also travel expenses, accommodation, and any additional costs related to recovery or follow-up care. Make sure to budget accordingly to avoid any financial surprises.

3. Check the Qualifications of the Practitioners

When getting beauty treatments abroad, it’s crucial to ensure that the practitioners are qualified and experienced. Check their credentials, ask about their training and experience, and make sure they are licensed to practice in their country. Don’t be shy about asking for references or before-and-after photos of previous clients.

4. Plan for Recovery

Depending on the type of beauty treatment you’re getting, there may be a recovery period involved. It’s important to plan for this and to understand what you’ll need to do to take care of yourself after the treatment. This might include arranging for post-treatment care, planning for downtime, and understanding any restrictions on activities or travel.

5. Communicate Clearly

Clear communication is key when getting beauty treatments abroad. Make sure you fully understand the treatment, the process, and the expected results. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or seek clarification if something is unclear. Remember, it’s your body and your health, so you have the right to fully understand any treatment you’re considering.

6. Consider the Cultural Differences

Getting beauty treatments abroad can also mean experiencing cultural differences. This can include different attitudes toward beauty and wellness, different standards of customer service, and even language barriers. Be open-minded and respectful of these differences, and seek to understand and appreciate the unique aspects of the culture you’re visiting.

7. Prioritize Your Health and Safety

Above all, your health and safety should be your top priority when getting beauty treatments abroad. Make sure the clinic or spa you choose follows high standards of hygiene and safety and that they have emergency protocols in place. Don’t be tempted to cut corners or take unnecessary risks in the pursuit of beauty.

Getting beauty treatments abroad can be a rewarding and enriching experience, offering the chance to explore new places, experience different cultures, and achieve your beauty and wellness goals. However, it’s important to approach it with careful planning and consideration. By following these tips, you can ensure that your beauty journey abroad is safe, successful, and enjoyable.

In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, travel vlogging has become a powerhouse in the world of content creation. With the rise of platforms like YouTube and Instagram, travel enthusiasts found new avenues to share their adventures and inspire others. With its short-form video format and immense popularity among younger generations, TikTok is shaping the future of travel vlogging in four significant ways.

Bite-Sized Adventures: The Power of Short-Form Content

TikTok has recently taken the travel vlogging industry by storm, even influencing what gear and attire influencers use, including the trendiest travel accessories. Travel vloggers can now showcase the essence of their journeys, from breathtaking landscapes to delicious street food, in just a few seconds. This brevity aligns with the fast-paced, attention-deficient nature of the internet audience, making it easier for creators to capture and retain viewers’ interest. TikTok’s defining feature is its bite-sized, 15 to 60-second video format. This concise style of content delivery is a game-changer for travel vloggers. In the past, vloggers had to create lengthy videos to capture their adventures comprehensively. Nowadays, especially with TikTok follower services available, getting more engagement and likes on your travel TikTok account is easier.

Authenticity and Raw Moments

While YouTube travel vlogs are often polished and meticulously edited, TikTok’s format encourages raw and unfiltered moments. This authenticity resonates with viewers who crave genuine experiences. Travel vloggers on TikTok can showcase the good, the bad, and the unexpected without feeling the pressure to create a perfectly curated narrative.

Authenticity extends to interactions with locals, trying unfamiliar foods, and navigating unforeseen challenges. TikTok allows travelers to share their journey as it unfolds, offering a refreshing departure from the highly edited content that dominates other platforms.

A Global Community of Travel Enthusiasts

TikTok’s user base spans the globe, providing travel vloggers with an international audience hungry for new experiences. This global reach offers vloggers the opportunity to share their adventures with a diverse audience, fostering cultural exchange and connection.

Furthermore, TikTok’s algorithm promotes discoverability, allowing travel vloggers to reach viewers beyond their existing followers. Hashtags like #TravelDiaries and #Wanderlust have become digital passports to a worldwide community of travel enthusiasts, making it easier for emerging vloggers to gain exposure and build a loyal following.

Creativity and Innovation

TikTok’s creative tools and trends encourage travel vloggers to experiment with their content. From dance challenges in exotic locations to innovative storytelling techniques, creators are pushing the boundaries of traditional travel vlogging. This innovative spirit keeps the genre fresh and exciting. TikTok’s duet and stitch features enable collaboration between travel vloggers, fostering a sense of community and creativity. Additionally, the platform’s use of music and soundtracks enhances storytelling and emotional resonance, allowing vloggers to set the perfect mood for their travel narratives.

In conclusion, TikTok is revolutionizing the travel vlogging industry by providing a platform that values short-form content, authenticity, global community-building, and creative innovation. While YouTube and Instagram will continue to be important players in the travel vlogging world, TikTok’s unique features and widespread popularity are reshaping the way travel adventures are documented and shared. As this platform continues to evolve, it’s likely that the future of travel vlogging will be characterized by even more creativity, diversity, and genuine connections between creators and their audiences.

Five Important Things Every Slot Player Should Know /five-important-things-every-slot-player-should-know/ Mon, 27 Dec 2021 23:38:11 +0000 /?p=179 Among the many games you are likely to find in a casino, one of them is a slot machine. Gaming is fun and addictive, that [...]

Among the many games you are likely to find in a casino, one of them is a slot machine. Gaming is fun and addictive, that is why there are rules set to ensure you do not squander all your time and money gaming.

If you enjoy playing on the slot machine, below are some important things you need to know. Note that some tips are for those at beginner level, others are for those in intermediate and expert level. Know what best suits you.

1. Explore most slot games before settling for one

Have you heard people regret their choices when they had a chance to explore the options? Do not be among these people. People who walk into a casino and the first slot machine they see, stick to it. Walk around and explore your options knowing what to go for and what to try out.

Different machines have different kinds of fun and different games. Others allow you to play with your friends, others allow you to play alone, it is up to you to weigh the kind of fun you’d like at the moment.

2. Bet responsibly

Gambling can be addictive. Especially if you are always anticipating winning. As a slot player, be careful not to go out of budget. Most gaming places have a betting consultant. If you are not so sure about the odds of the game, go ahead and make consultations.

Note however that is not an effective method as you can make consultations and still lose a bet. The outcomes of a game are never 100% predictable. If you are not responsible on your own, go with a friend who will watch over your back.

3. Know the rules of the game

Beginners especially are encouraged to familiarize themselves with game rules before playing. It is important you know the rules so that you are not penalized for simple mistakes that can be avoided. It will also make gaming enjoyable as rules ensure no part is biased and people are open to winning.

Some rules are constant, while others keep changing. Have an open mind when playing any of the games. Another reason why you should know the rules of the game is to know what strategies to use. This will increase your chances of winning.

4. Practice with free games

As mentioned earlier, you do not have to win all the time you play. You can improve your skills in a new game by starting with free games. You will not win a reward in this case but you will gain the skills required to ensure you increase your chances of winning.

Free games are available both online and physically. Pick the best ground for you to practice your game and bet now.

5. Aim for smaller jackpots

A lot of people go for bigger jackpots to win them all. What they do not realize is smaller jackpots are easier to win compared to bigger jackpots.

With smaller jackpots, if you win frequently you get a chance to accumulate a lot of money compared to aiming at what everyone else wants.

On a visit to Greymouth on the West Coast auto, I am feeling adventurous, so I decide to give the quad biking a go. That way I can absorb the scenery while having some fun.

On Yer Bike is only five minutes north of Greymouth and offers a biking adventure second to none.

I have a choice of going hard out and experiencing 90 minutes of Mike’s Mighty Mud Track (the muddiest, wettest and most difficult of all its tracks), but seeing as I haven’t really experienced something like this before, I decide to opt for a “magical mix of mud” with the Enchanted Forest Tour. I mean, it can’t be that hard. Can it?

I ask my bubbly tour guide Elizabeth. She assures me the quad bike is pretty straightforward to ride. First, though, I have to deck myself out from head to toe in some waterproof gear. Looking as bald as a bumble bee is bad enough, but having to don a net that looks like a shower cap to cover my hair before putting my helmet on I find wildly amusing. I have a chuckle with Elizabeth about how my attire would definitely not win in the fashion stakes! But hey, this is no fashion parade – it’s all about getting muddy and I can’t wait to get on board my quad bike and master the beast!

After a quick run-down on the safety procedure, how to drive the quad and what to expect on the ride, I use my girl power to manoeuvre the steering control to the right positions for take-off. I am away laughing!

I have always thought quad bikes to be oversized and slow, so you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I am to discover just how grunty and powerful they actually are.

With my hand on the throttle I take off behind Elizabeth as she takes her quad around the practice track. I can’t stop grinning at how quickly I have mastered the art of quad biking and am itching to be let loose into the rainforest! Set me free, pleeaasee….

After a few pointers, Elizabeth agrees I am ready to escape into the forest, and off we go. Yee hah!

Making our way to the track, I admit I am a tad cocky – it all seems a bit too easy. I decide to crank up my quad over the bumpy track. I’m sure my tour guide knows I am feeling over-confident, but she doesn’t let on – she just sweetly reminds me of the safety rules.

When we reach the muddy stream, which Elizabeth describes as the “high tech wheel washer”, I rev my quad bike and just go for it. Mud is spraying everywhere and it’s awesome as I plough my way through.

Then Elizabeth gives the hand signal that we are now entering into the enchanted forest. I am amped. I don’t feel scared at all; I’m just enjoying the ride. As we ride through the rainforest, I try to absorb the moment and stay in control of my bike. It’s exhilarating, until, that is, I happen to notice the bumps are getting bigger, the track is getting tighter and boggier, and I am faced with some steep climbs to master.

Elizabeth advises me to change gear from two wheel drive to four wheel drive. My quad starts skidding all over the place and I’m finding it hard to steer. As we make our way through the dense forest, a thought crosses my mind: “What if this heavy monster rolls and lands on me? It would crush me in seconds!”

I banish it from my head and stay positive.

Now that I have mastered getting up the hill, I have the wonderful task of getting back down. On the way I notice my quad is on a lean and at that point I am feeling a little freaked. I yell out to Elizabeth, “Are you sure I’m going to get down here?”

She nods her head and then tells me the plan. My confidence is back, but those damn lyrics to Paul Simon’s song Slip Sliding Away spring to mind: “You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away!” Arrrgh.
I tell myself to get a grip and get on with it. It’s a bumpy ride and I am skidding all over the place, with a few unexpected wheelies, too.

While it is scary in parts, it’s also thrilling. I mean, that’s what quad biking is all about, isn’t it – the challenge of it all?
I have escaped the worst of it and now I can relax and enjoy my ride back to camp.

As we enter base, I park my quad next to Elizabeth’s and crack a smile.

“How was that?” she asks.
“Pretty cool,” I say. Proudly.

This afternoon I spent some time exploring Hamilton Gardens and it turned out to be a very intriguing place! I knew it was a popular visitor destination – the most popular attraction in the region, in fact, with about 600,000 visitors each year – but I’d never actually been there myself. Now I’m recommending it to anyone visiting the Waikato area!

Taking the concept of public gardens a step beyond the ordinary, Hamilton Gardens features five collections of gardens, each designed to explore in some way the history and context of gardens. There’s a Productive Garden Collection, with kitchen and herb gardens, and a Cultivar Garden Collection, where you’ll find a myriad of roses, rhododendrons and camellias, but it was the Paradise Garden Collection that caught my imagination.

Wander through the brick archway and down a shaded pathway and suddenly you come upon a weathered plaster façade facing a small fountain. A doorway in the wall invites exploration – step through and find yourself transported to an Italian Renaissance Garden with geometric shapes, neatly clipped hedges, fountains and statuary. Climb the staircase to the left for a high-angle perspective and you’ll see that there’s another brick walkway unfolding ahead. Follow the path through silvery olive trees to a quiet blue pool with a statue cast from the famous 5th Century original featuring the she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus.

Now another walkway comes into sight; this one leading to a Japanese Garden of Contemplation. Here you can stand in the wood-floored pavilion and gaze across a tranquil pond surrounded by conifers and maples on one side and, on the other, a Zen garden of rocks and mosses on white sand. Its pared-back design requires the viewer to use his or her imagination – so viewing the garden becomes a Zen exercise.

Continuing onward, visitors will encounter an English Flower Garden, a Chinese Scholar’s Garden, an American Modernist Garden and an Indian Char Bagh Garden, each unfolding in unexpected ways. You don’t have to be a gardening guru to enjoy the experience – on the afternoon I visited there were tourists, families, young couples and retirees strolling the walkways. It’s a thoroughly charming place to visit and entry is free. Definitely recommended whether you’re visiting Hamilton for a few days or just passing through.

Hamilton Gardens is located on State Highway One, just south of Hamilton City and alongside the Waikato River. If you’re heading south, it’s on the right-hand side of Cobham Drive, just after the Cobham Bridge.

Almost everyone has traveled at least once in their lives. A huge number of people go camping, travel to different cities or even to other countries for a summer vacation or a business trip. And surely each of us sometimes dreams of going somewhere far away to change the familiar environment, at least for a time to forget about the problems or just relax. So why do we want to leave home? What are we looking for in a faraway land and what do we return with from a trip?

The benefits of travel

In a new environment, under the influence of new impressions, people are freed from the influence of the familiar environment. There is a new attitude towards what they left at home and even the person begins to think differently. The main benefits to be gained from traveling are as follows:

Personal development

Before traveling, you thought your abilities were limited to a well-established cycle of work-home. But when you find yourself in an unfamiliar environment, you discover new qualities in yourself that were not noticeable in the home habitual environment. Overcoming difficulties in new, unexpected situations reveals in you such character traits as the ability to adapt to a changing environment, rapid response, and creative approach to problem-solving. Thus, travel is a kind of real psychological training.

The effect of the anticipation of travel

Psychologists have found that the anticipation of vacation and the upcoming trip causes a lot of positive emotions and improves mood. During this period people evaluate the quality of their life, financial situation, and state of their health more positively.

Interesting acquaintances

While traveling you meet new interesting people. Among these, you may meet future business partners or the person who will become your lover. And many people make new friends while traveling and keep these friendships even after you return home.

Broadening your horizons

While traveling you are sure to learn something new and it will enrich your inner world, broaden your horizons. You can learn the history of the country, the manners, and traditions of the inhabitants, the culinary peculiarities of the food. Having mastered the preparation of several local dishes on your return from a trip, you can delight your loved ones with them.

Recuperation

New impressions received during a trip stimulate the release of “hormones of happiness” – endorphins. These hormones improve mood, prevent stress, slow down the aging of the body, and improve a person’s general well-being. The active lifestyle of travelers, sea and river bathing, sunbathing, hiking improve health and fill with energy.

Spiritual enrichment

Now popular pilgrimage tours to holy places trip to explore the spiritual-religious culture of the people of another country. Such a trip has a beneficial, soothing effect on the human soul. But that to feel it is not necessary to go to the famous centers of world religions. Perhaps very near you can find peace of mind and tranquility, admiring the beautiful scenery or enjoying a conversation with a wise old man near the temple.

Strengthening the relationship with your spouse

Traveling together has a beneficial effect on the marital relationship. When traveling, couples spend a lot of time together, plan travel itineraries, gain new impressions, set common goals, and learn about each other’s interests. Spouses overcome difficulties together, making common decisions and finding a way out of situations that arise. This has a positive long-term effect on the couple’s relationship, bringing the family closer together and making it stronger.

There are two types of people: those who count down the days until vacation and pack their bags weeks in advance, and those who do everything at the last minute. No matter how experienced you may be as a traveler, you have to prepare for your trip in advance. If you are planning a trip for more than a week, it is better to pack your bag right in advance.

Make a list of things you need and break it down into categories. For several days write down everything that comes to your mind. That way you won’t forget an important detail. It works! You can also make it the basis for your next trips, changing only the smallest things.

Documents and Money

This is the first and most important thing. Keep your documents and money with you at all times, it’s best to have a small purse that you can carry in your hand luggage. Pack your documents in a special wallet or waterproof bag.

First Aid Kit

Probably the most important part. We recommend that you bring two first aid kits. One with the most necessary drugs, and the second with the rest.

What you must take in any case:

  • Individual medications for chronic illnesses
  • Painkillers and antipyretics
  • Cold remedies
  • Sunscreen
  • Anti-allergy medicines
  • Snake and insect repellents

Also, if you constantly get motion sickness, don’t forget anti-seasickness medication and paper bags.

Clothing

Do not take a lot of clothes and shoes – experience shows that almost half of the things you took on a trip are not worn.

Clothing should be comfortable and not give discomfort, so do not take unworn shoes with you to avoid blisters. Try to take only those things that can be combined. Why do you need to travel if it does not fit with anything? And, of course, take into account the climate of the country or region you’re visiting.

Makeup and personal care products

If you do not need decorative cosmetics on vacation or you do not use them at all, then about the care and personal care products you certainly do not say so. You have 2 options: 1) take it all with you and 2) buy it in another country (which can sometimes be quite expensive). Make that choice based on your capabilities. But remember that you may take no more than 100 ml of liquids on the plane in your hand luggage. And don’t forget that tons of cosmetics and millions of jars are not useful to you. Leave that stuff at home, because the minimum amount will be useful for traveling.

Gadgets

Now it is impossible to imagine a comfortable life without gadgets. And it’s not just about the headphones and phone. But if in addition to them you have no other devices or maybe you do not want to overload yourself with devices, then your phone should be your universal assistant. Install all the apps you need for travel and check if they all work without access to the Internet because in some situations it’s pointless to hope for help with the online method.

Can you name at least one person who has never once dreamed of moving or traveling to America? No? Because there is no such person. America is full of sights worth seeing at least once in your life. But if you don’t have enough money or time to visit everything, you should focus on the places you should visit first.

Walk of Fame

There are some places in Los Angeles that you can’t pass by, or not see. “Walk of Fame” is just such a place. A series of sidewalks, in which five-pointed stars with the names of celebrities are embedded, on both sides of the streets, stretching for 18 blocks. Today, the Walk of Fame has more than 2,500 nameplates!

It is better to see it once than to hear and see a lot. It is interesting to walk along the alley – to look at the stars, to look around, to be involved in the game of street artists. There’s a good feeling that “I’ve been here”!

Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, California

The Golden Gate Bridge, or Golden Gate Bridge, is San Francisco’s most important landmark. At first, it may seem like nothing special, a bridge is just a bridge. But when you are near it, you understand that it is very photogenic from every point of view and has some magic, every second picture you can hang on the wall

The bridge has sad fame – the bridge of suicides. The symbol of the city magically attracts people who want to end their lives beautifully. Since 1937, more than 1,200 cases of suicide jumpers have been accurately reported, with only a couple dozen people surviving.

Grand Canyon, Arizona

The Grand Canyon is a unique geological site, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Seven Wonders of the World.

The canyon is up to 2 km deep and 446 km long, located in Arizona (USA) on the Colorado Plateau.

At the bottom of the formation wriggles rushing river. According to scientists, this is the river that had been washing the soil for millions of years. With its strong current, it has sculpted bizarre figures, rocky towers, caves from various rocks of the earth’s crust.

Yellowstone, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho

Yellowstone National Park, one of the most visited parks in America, is located in the north of the country, in three states – Wyoming (96%), Montana (3%), and Idaho (1%). The park is famous for its wildlife: hot springs, waterfalls, rich wildlife, and scenic landscapes. But the main attraction of the park – geysers, of which there are several hundred. Especially famous are Old Faithful geysers, which not only ejects a column of hot water up to 42 m high and 90.4 °C every 50-70 minutes but is also one of the most beautiful geysers of the park and the geyser “Giant”, which at an interval of three days brings a column of hot water with a height of 91 m and a temperature of 94.8 °C.
